Karen Ranieri v. HHS - HPV, other (2025)

Karen Ranieri filed a petition for compensation on behalf of her minor child, I.R., alleging injuries after receiving two human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccinations on December 1, 2020, and May 1, 2021. The petition was filed on January 27, 2025.

Because a decision had not been issued within the time specified by Vaccine Rule 10(b), a notice was issued advising the petitioner of their options. On January 23, 2025, Petitioner timely filed a notice to withdraw the petition.

The Chief Special Master granted the withdrawal request, concluding the proceedings on the merits. No judgment on the merits was entered.
