Kristine Zuggi v. HHS - HPV, injuries and ultimately died (2023)

Kristine Zuggi filed a petition on behalf of her minor child, I.Z., alleging that I.Z. suffered injuries and died after receiving a human papillomavirus vaccination on August 26, 2022. The petition was filed on October 6, 2023.

Because a decision had not been issued within the time specified by Vaccine Rule 10(b), a notice was issued advising the petitioner of her options. On October 4, 2023, Kristine Zuggi elected to withdraw the petition.

The Chief Special Master granted the withdrawal request, concluding the proceedings on the merits. No judgment on the merits was entered.
