Jonessa Casarez v. HHS - HPV, other (2022)

Jonessa Casarez filed a petition on behalf of her minor child, A.C., alleging injuries after receiving two human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccinations on August 23, 2019, and August 14, 2020. The petition was filed with the Court of Federal Claims on October 11, 2022.

Because a decision had not been issued within the time specified by Vaccine Rule 10(b), the petitioner was notified that she could withdraw the petition or have it remain before the special master. On October 11, 2022, Jonessa Casarez elected to withdraw the petition.

The Chief Special Master granted the withdrawal request, and the proceedings on the merits were concluded. No judgment on the merits was entered.
