Laurecia Ampedu v. HHS - HPV, other (2022)

Laurecia Ampedu filed a petition on behalf of her minor child, J.A., alleging that J.A. suffered injuries after receiving an HPV vaccination on July 1, 2019. The petition was filed on December 27, 2021.

Because a decision had not been issued within the statutorily allowed time, the petitioner was notified that she could withdraw the petition or have it remain before the special master. On August 24, 2022, Laurecia Ampedu elected to withdraw the petition.

The Chief Special Master granted the withdrawal request, and the proceedings on the merits were concluded. No judgment on the merits was entered.
