L.J. v. HHS - HPV, other (2022)

Arilyanne Velazquez and Melvin Jones, parents of L.J., filed a petition for compensation under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program on November 29, 2021. They alleged that L.J. suffered injuries after receiving an HPV vaccination on November 26, 2018.

Because a decision had not been issued within the statutorily allowed time, the petitioners were notified that they could withdraw the petition or have it remain before the special master. On August 24, 2022, the petitioners elected to withdraw the petition.

The Chief Special Master granted their request, and this order concluded the proceedings on the merits, with no judgment to be entered by the Clerk's Office.
