Rexford N. Jeter v. Betty Jeter, as administratrix of the Estate of Rexford Jeter, filed a petition alleging that Mr. Jeter developed transverse myelitis, peripheral neuropathy, edema, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and numerous other serious conditions, including sepsis and acute kidney injury, which were either caused-in-fact by or significantly aggravated by the influenza vaccines he received on October 29, 2015, and October 30, 2016.

These conditions ultimately contributed to his death on July 8, 2017. The case proceeded as an off-Table claim, with Petitioner submitting expert reports from Dr.

Alberto Martinez-Arizala opining that the flu vaccination caused Mr. Jeter's transverse myelitis through molecular mimicry.

Respondent did not contest the good faith or reasonable basis of the claim. The court found that the evidence submitted was sufficient to satisfy the reasonable basis requirement.
