Kandyce Green v. HHS - Tdap, shoulder injury related to vaccine administration (SIRVA) (2026)

Kandyce Green filed a petition for compensation under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program on September 5, 2025. She alleged that a Tdap vaccination received on August 8, 2024, caused a shoulder injury related to vaccine administration (SIRVA).

Ms. Green further alleged that she suffered residual effects of her injury for more than six months and that no prior award or settlement had been made for her injury.

On April 16, 2026, the Respondent conceded that Ms. Green is entitled to compensation.

The Respondent's report confirmed that her injury was consistent with SIRVA, noting no prior shoulder issues, pain within 48 hours post-vaccination, reduced range of motion limited to the vaccinated shoulder, and no other identified cause. The Respondent also confirmed that the residual effects lasted more than six months.

Based on the Respondent's concession and the evidence, the Chief Special Master found Kandyce Green entitled to compensation.
