Susan Ganden v. HHS - Influenza, shoulder injury related to vaccine administration (SIRVA) (2026)

Susan Ganden filed a petition for compensation under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program on July 31, 2025, alleging she suffered a shoulder injury related to vaccine administration (SIRVA) after receiving an influenza vaccine on September 9, 2024. She also received a COVID-19 vaccine on the same day.

Petitioner alleged residual symptoms for more than six months. Respondent denied that the vaccine caused her injury or that it was a Table injury.

Nevertheless, the parties filed a joint stipulation agreeing to settle the case. Chief Special Master Corcoran adopted the stipulation as the decision awarding damages, granting a lump sum of $30,000.00 for all items of damages available under Section 15(a).
