Suzanne Hollingshead v. HHS - Influenza, shoulder injury related to vaccine administration (2026)

Suzanne Hollingshead filed a petition for compensation under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, alleging that she suffered a Table shoulder injury related to vaccine administration (SIRVA) as a result of an October 26, 2022, influenza vaccination. She further alleged that she received the vaccination in the United States, suffered residual effects of the injury for more than six months, and had no prior award or settlement for this injury.

Respondent denied that Petitioner sustained a SIRVA Table injury, denied that the flu vaccine caused her alleged shoulder injury or any other injury, and denied that her current condition is a sequela of a vaccine-related injury. Despite these positions, the parties filed a joint stipulation agreeing that a decision should be entered awarding compensation.

The Special Master adopted the stipulation, awarding Suzanne Hollingshead a lump sum of $32,096.44 for all items of damages available under Section 15(a). This amount represents compensation for her SIRVA injury.
