Mandy Dols v. HHS - Influenza, shoulder injury related to vaccine administration (SIRVA) (2026)

Mandy Dols filed a petition for compensation under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program on April 29, 2024, alleging she suffered a shoulder injury related to vaccine administration (SIRVA) after receiving an influenza vaccine on October 15, 2021. She further alleged that her SIRVA injury lasted more than six months.

Respondent denied that Petitioner sustained a SIRVA Table injury or that the vaccine caused her injury. Despite these denials, the parties filed a joint stipulation agreeing to settle the case and award compensation.

The Chief Special Master adopted the stipulation as the decision, awarding Mandy Dols a lump sum of $33,000.00 for all damages. This amount represents compensation for all items of damages available under Section 15(a) of the Vaccine Act.

The parties agreed that this stipulation represents a full and complete negotiated settlement of liability and damages.
