Esmerida Perez filed a petition on behalf of her minor child, M.P., alleging injuries after receiving a human papillomavirus vaccination on September 29, 2020. The petition was filed on September 6, 2023.

Because no decision on the merits had been issued within the time specified by Vaccine Rule 10(b), the petitioner was notified of her option to withdraw the petition. On September 5, 2024, Esmerida Perez timely filed a notice to withdraw the petition.

The Chief Special Master granted the request to withdraw, concluding the proceedings on the merits. No judgment on the merits was entered.
