Jan Holt filed a petition on behalf of her minor child, K.S., alleging that K.S. suffered injuries after receiving a human papillomavirus vaccination on September 22, 2022. The petition also noted prior HPV vaccinations on March 14, 2022, and April 19, 2022, but did not allege adverse reactions following those doses.

Because a decision had not been issued within the time specified by Vaccine Rule 10(b), the petitioner was notified that she could withdraw the petition or have it remain before the special master. On November 30, 2023, Jan Holt timely filed a notice to withdraw the petition.

The Chief Special Master granted the request to withdraw, concluding the proceedings on the merits. No judgment on the merits was entered.
