Mackenzie Gardett filed a petition for compensation under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program on March 24, 2023, alleging injuries from human papillomavirus vaccinations received on August 8, 2007, January 4, 2008, and May 8, 2008. Because a decision had not been issued within the statutory time frame, the petitioner was notified of her options to either withdraw the petition or have it remain before the special master.

On December 12, 2023, Mackenzie Gardett elected to withdraw the petition. The Chief Special Master granted this request, concluding the proceedings.
