Q.W. v. HHS - Hepatitis B, chronic urticaria (2025)

Gwen Twiehaus, on behalf of Q.W., filed a petition for compensation on August 5, 2022, alleging that Q.W. suffered chronic urticaria as a result of hepatitis B, Hib, pneumococcal conjugate, polio, rotavirus, and DTaP vaccines received on August 7, 2019. Respondent filed a report arguing against compensation, and the parties exchanged expert reports.

After a status conference and review of the reports, the Special Master was unable to deliver preliminary thoughts. Petitioner subsequently indicated that continued pursuit of compensation was not warranted and intended to submit a voluntary dismissal.

The parties then filed a joint stipulation of dismissal. In accordance with Vaccine Rule 21(a), the case was dismissed without prejudice.
