Jose Tomas Siniscalchi filed a petition for compensation under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, alleging that he suffered Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) caused by an influenza vaccination he received on September 22, 2020. The parties agreed to an award of $145,243.38, which includes $145,000.00 for pain and suffering and $243.38 for out-of-pocket medical and related expenses. The Chief Special Master issued a decision awarding this lump sum payment to Mr.

Siniscalchi on June 26, 2024.
