Myranda Smith v. HHS - HPV, other (2022)

Myranda Smith filed a petition on behalf of her minor child, S.S., alleging injury after receiving a human papillomavirus vaccination on September 18, 2018. The petition was filed on September 16, 2021.

Because no decision had been issued within the time specified by Vaccine Rule 10(b), the petitioner was notified that she could withdraw the petition or have it remain before the special master. On June 15, 2022, Myranda Smith filed a notice to withdraw the petition.

The Chief Special Master granted the withdrawal request, and the proceedings on the merits were concluded. No judgment on the merits was entered.
