A.M. v. HHS - HPV, other (2022)

Melanie and Todd Muhlstock filed a petition on behalf of their minor child, A.M., alleging injuries after receiving a human papillomavirus vaccination on March 27, 2018, and a worsening after a second vaccination on September 2, 2018. The petition was filed on November 22, 2021.

Because a decision had not been issued within the statutorily allowed time, the petitioners were notified that they could withdraw the petition or have it remain before the special master. On November 19, 2021, the petitioners elected to withdraw the petition.

The Chief Special Master granted their request and ordered the proceedings concluded, but specified that no judgment on the merits should be entered.
