The respondent conceded that Ms. Kimball is entitled to compensation, agreeing that she had no prior history of shoulder issues, that her pain and reduced range of motion began within 48 hours of vaccination and were limited to the injection site, and that no other condition explained her symptoms. The respondent also confirmed that the flu vaccine is on the Vaccine Injury Table and that her injury lasted for more than six months. The Chief Special Master awarded Ms. Kimball a total of $56,432.62, comprising $55,000.00 for pain and suffering and $1,432.62 for unreimbursed expenses.
