Yolanda Marie Martinez v. HHS - Tdap, Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) and/or Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP) (2024)

Yolanda Marie Martinez filed a petition on December 28, 2020, seeking compensation for Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) and/or Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP), which she alleged were caused by a Tdap vaccination received on January 11, 2018. The Tdap vaccine is listed on the Vaccine Injury Table.

Respondent denied that the vaccine caused Ms. Martinez's alleged conditions.

Martinez was awarded a total of $145,000: $95,000 as a lump sum payment to her, and $50,000 to reimburse a lien for services rendered by the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing. This award represents compensation for all damages available under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program.
