L.R.H. v. HHS - MMR, chronic arthritis (2021)

Lindsey Hanson, on behalf of L.R.H., filed a petition for compensation under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program on April 25, 2018. The petition alleged that L.R.H. suffered a chronic arthritis as a result of a Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR) vaccination received on June 30, 2017.

Respondent filed a Rule 4(c) report arguing against compensation. The parties engaged in extensive expert report exchanges and status conferences over several years.

However, petitioner was unable to find a medical expert specializing in immunology willing to provide an opinion in the case. Due to the inability to secure expert testimony, the parties filed a joint stipulation of dismissal on December 2, 2021.

The case was dismissed without prejudice.
