Yeshi Mengistu v. HHS - Influenza, right shoulder injury related to vaccination administration (2023)

Yeshi Mengistu filed a petition on March 8, 2018, alleging that the influenza vaccine she received on September 30, 2016, caused her to suffer from a right shoulder injury related to vaccination administration (SIRVA). The injury was contained in the Vaccine Injury Table, and she alleged residual effects for more than six months.

Respondent indicated a willingness to settle in July 2019, and the parties engaged in settlement discussions and alternative dispute resolution over the next three years. On August 18, 2022, the parties filed a joint stipulation, and the court awarded compensation.
