Diana Bell v. HHS - Pneumococcal, shoulder injury related to vaccine administration (SIRVA) (2018)

Diana Bell filed a petition for compensation under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program on May 15, 2017. She alleged that she suffered a shoulder injury related to vaccine administration (SIRVA) after receiving a Prevnar 13 vaccine on March 28, 2016, and that her vaccine-related injuries lasted for more than six months.

The respondent denied that the vaccine caused her injury. On June 22, 2018, the parties filed a joint stipulation agreeing that compensation should be awarded.

Chief Special Master Nora Beth Dorsey found the stipulation reasonable and adopted it as the decision of the Court. Pursuant to the stipulation, Diana Bell was awarded a lump sum of $50,744.66, representing compensation for all items of damages available under the Vaccine Act.
