Vickie L. Dern, as Personal Representative of the estate of David J.

Dern, filed a petition for vaccine compensation after Mr. Dern received an influenza vaccine on February 10, 2016.

Petitioner alleged that Mr. Dern subsequently developed Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) and died as a result of this condition, which she claimed was caused by the influenza vaccine.
